Robert A. Bruce, Jr., M.D.

Dr. Bruce is one of the founding members of Columbus Eye Surgery Center.  He served as the center’s medical director for nine years, where he specialized in some of the most challenging diseases in the field of ophthalmic surgery.  He was the first retinal surgeon in Ohio to do vitrectomies and retinal detachments in an outpatient setting.    Dr. Bruce’s many credits and accomplishments are crowned by his dedication to his patients and his commitment to service excellence.  His leadership has enabled Columbus Eye Surgery Center to consistently receive near-perfect patient satisfaction ratings and earn the accreditation of AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc.). Although Dr. Bruce is no longer performing surgery at Columbus Eye Surgery Center, he continues to serve as a consultant in the medical field to which he has dedicated his life’s work.
